Friends of Evelyn Meador Library Seabrook History Collection is Growing!

The University of Houston-Clear lake is curating a digital collection for us! It includes many photos, articles, and memos that were collected and displayed by the Friends over many years. The content displays the rich history of our beloved coastal city and how it has changed over the years. Click here to access the collection. Documents can be viewed, downloaded, and printed. Enjoy!

Donate To the Friends Through Network for Good!

Would you consider donating to the Friends of Evelyn Meador Library to help us achieve our mission? We’ve teamed up with Network for Good to bring you an easy, no fuss donation experience!  The Friends of Evelyn Meador have committed to work with Harris County Public Library and the City of Seabrook to make our library a wonderful resource for our coastal community. Our fundraising efforts help support library programs and offerings that enhance the community in which we serve. We are also raising funds for the next phase of the Seabrook Community Garden, which consists of an edible tree forest! As a 501(c)(3) organization, all donations are tax deductible. It’s really simple…just click on the image below. The link will take you to a secure donation site that will walk you through the donation process. A receipt will be sent to your registered email address. Thank you for your support to make Evelyn Meador Library even better!

Phase 1 of the Evelyn Meador Community Garden Complete!

Seabrook Rotaract is leading this project with financial support from the Friends of Evelyn Meador Library. Rotaract clubs bring together young professionals to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service. Seabrook Rotaract is an extension of Seabrook Rotary. Phase 1 of the project consists of a beautiful community herb garden. Phase 2 is currently being planned and will include tree plantings on the trail grounds next to the library. Stay tuned for more updates and volunteer opportunities!
