National Library Lover’s Month in February is dedicated to the people who love libraries. Libraries provide a place for us to discover great books and learn about history. They help us with homework, research papers, and science projects. They provide a quiet space to study and learn. But libraries do so much more:
Here are a few ways that you can celebrate National Library Lover’s Month:

Here’s a podcast episode worth a listen! “What do the Friends of the Library DO?” If you’ve ever heard that question, this podcast episode is for you! In a special edition of HCPL’s podcast, “Using our Library Voices”, guest panelists Becky Berry, Susan Greer, Marianne Kolar (President of Friends of Evelyn Meador Library), and Peggy Kruckemeyer discuss all things Friends! As members of both their branch Friends groups and the Harris County Friends of the Library, these Friends have decades of experience working with Friends of the Library groups. In the episode, they discuss what it means to be a Friend, what is involved in being an active member, how to join, and more! “Meet the Harris County Public Library’s FRIENDS” – listen here! Give it a listen today, and please share it with anyone who would be interested. Thank YOU for supporting the Harris County Friends of the Library! |
The Friends of Evelyn Meador Library have pledged to work with the Harris County Public Library and the City of Seabrook to make our library a wonderful resource for our coastal community. Our fundraising efforts help purchase books, upgraded furnishings and equipment that enhance the overall quality of our library. There are many ways to contribute.
