Bring Us Your Gently Used Books!

We are in need of used book donations for sale at our bookstore!  We accept all gently used books (no magazines, large book sets, cassettes or VHS tapes, please). All money raised by the Friends Bookstore support our wonderful Evelyn Meador Library programs. Donations can be brought to the bookstore during normal operating hours.  NOTE: For large donations, please drop by or send us an e-mail ahead of time at info@friendsofevelynmeador.org so that we can arrange for storage.

SH146 Update at Friends Annual Meeting!

The Friends of Evelyn Meador Library hosted the 2019 Annual Meeting on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 in the Wallach Community Room.

To kick off the event, Seabrook Rotary presented the Friends of Evelyn Meador Library with a check for $2,500 for the 2019 Summer Reading Program. Seabrook Mayor Thom Kolupski and Seabrook City Manager Gayle Cook then provided an update on the many construction activities going on around our city.

National Library Giving Day is Wednesday, April 10th!

I’m sure you’ll agree that Evelyn Meador Library in Seabrook, Texas is pretty awesome! In addition to providing reading and viewing materials, Evelyn Meador Library strives to provide programs and services that enrich the local community.

#LibraryGivingDay is a one-day fundraising event with the goal of encouraging people who depend on and enjoy public libraries to donate to their local library system.

4th Annual Library Beautification Project this Saturday from 10 am-1 pm!

Join us on Saturday, March 23rd at Evelyn Meador Library for our 4th Annual Beautification Project. We will meet at the library at 10 am and work until around 1 pm. Everyone is invited to participate – Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, your organization — or yourself! All are welcome. We’ll serve light refreshments and coffee, too. You can help your community, maybe see your neighbors and share a cup of java. Click here to register.
